He was at five and I at six
I was using all of my tricks
He flew blue and I flew red
He would always wind up dead
Bang bang, I’d shoot him down
Bang bang, he’d hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, I’d shoot ol’ Wardog down.
Sessions came and changed the time
He got better, I passed my prime
He would always shout and say
“Drat, I’m gonna get ya some day!”
Bang bang, I’d shoot him down
Bang bang, he’d hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, I’d shoot ol’ Wardog down.
Co-ops played and cannons sang
He got to know the whole crazed gang.
Now he flies, I don’t know why
But it’s harder to make him die
And now when he’s up in the sky.
Some times it’s me who says “Goodbye!”
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, ol’ Wardog shot me down…
